Dear XIR –

I almost didn't post that morning.

After 6 weeks of back and forth strategy meetings, bridging gaps between departments, endless revisions, and "perfecting" our community-led growth plan...

I sent my direct superior (and amazing friend who actually brought me onto the team) a Tuesday night Slack message that changed everything:

I just need you to trust me

No fancy deck. No complex strategy docs. Just pure trust in what I knew would work. And that trust turned into $20M pipeline in 6 days.

The Setup

Most people would've waited until everything was "perfect." But I'd learned something crucial at Brex: Sometimes you have to show rather than tell.

So that Tuesday morning, I posted. And then? Pure chaos.

The beautiful kind. The First 24 Hours was a straight up madhouse:

  • 200+ inbound messages hitting my inbox

  • My phone literally overheating from notifications

  • Comments flooding faster than I could read

  • DMs coming in while I was responding to other DMs

  • The best kind of overwhelm

Until I remembered: I'd been here before.

I'd literally built systems for handling massive inbound that: still felt personal, scaled beautifully (if I do say so myself, and actually got results).

The last time I cracked the code, I ended up hitting 200% over goal (shoutout to the 🐐 Reed Macdonald for being my right-hand).

The secret is in understanding exactly who does what.

It's not just about handling volume. It's about maintaining quality at scale.

The Framework

Like any good athlete (SN: did y’all know I used to ball back in the day? And play volleyball and run track? If you don’t know…now you know), I know that every single player on a team has a distinct role:

Mine? Building excitement and trust.
The SDR team? Closing qualified leads.
The system? Making it all flow.

We turned chaos into a refined pipeline by building:

1. Clear qualification criteria

  • Not just metrics

  • Real fit indicators

  • Success predictors

2. Automated but personal follow-up

  • Custom triggers

  • Human touch points

  • Zero copy/paste vibes

3. Strategic SDR handoff

  • Warm intros only

  • Context preservation

  • Clear next steps

4. Full-circle support

  • Resource sharing

  • Network access

  • Alternative paths

The Results

Not to flex but... this campaign broke every growth metric we had – way beyond what even I expected. Turns out when you combine real value with authentic connection, wild things can happen at scale.

The Magic at the Intersection

Dead ass: this is what the majority of people miss.
This wasn't just about the numbers.

The real breakthrough came from combining:

  • Community trust (built over years)

  • Sales efficiency (learned through trial)

  • Marketing reach (earned, not bought)

  • Process innovation (my secret sauce)

All translated into language everyone understood.

Pause. I am so immature lol.

I legit want to dive deeper into this and completely nerd out but I want to know which part interests you most so I know how to move forward.

Raw thoughts my ADHD brain caught this week

  • An opportunity others missed: XIR vs. Influencer Marketing - XIRs build compound trust through delivery, while influencers chase follower growth. Quality beats quantity for ROI. ☑ Action item: Expand on this.

  • When I proved something worked differently: Being direct with founders and focusing on value over features wins, especially in fintech. Make it make sense for them – works every time.

  • A pattern I noticed that excited me: Compound trust = exponential growth. The most trusted humans are often the most connected because consistent delivery creates new opportunities. This flywheel works in both B2B and B2C. ☑ Action item: Create framework and share.
